- 6 Tbsp. (3/4 stick) margarine or butter
- 1 1/4 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. (about 6 large) egg yolks
- 1 c. evaporated milk
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/3 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions

1Cream together the margarine and sugar.

2Add egg yolks gradually and beat well.

3Add flour and salt mixture alternately with evaporated milk.

4Mix on low speed while adding vanilla and mix.

5Pour filling into a 9-inch pie shell.

6Bake approximately one hour at 300° or until set in center.

7If not brown enough, turn up to 350° for a few minutes.
