- 1 1/2 c. onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 c. sliced water chestnuts
- 2 c. butter
- 5 qt. bread cubes (2 large loaves)
- 4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
Directions

1In a large skillet, cook and stir the onion, chestnuts and mushrooms in butter. Cook until onion is tender. Add this to 1/3 of the bread cubes.

2In a very large bowl, mix this and all other ingredients.

3Toss!

4Stuff turkey just before roasting.

5Makes 5 quarts; enough for a 20 to 24 pound turkey.
