- 500 grams Raw chestnuts
- 2 tbsp Sake
- 1 tbsp Mirin
- 1/2 tsp Soy sauce
- 1 tsp Salt
- 480 ml Rice
- 540 ml Water
- 1 Sesame seeds
Directions

1Put the chestnuts in a bowl and pour in enough hot water to cover.

2Soaking in water makes it easier to peel, so leave them like this for a while until they cool down.

3When the shell has softened, cut away the bottom part.

4You can peel away the shell as is, but if it's too tough, use a knife to peel off the outer shell as shown in the photo.

5Put the knife into a gap and tear the shell off.

6It should look like this.

7Remove the inner skin and soak in water to remove scum.

8Put the rice, seasonings, water and chestnuts into the rice cooker in that order.

9Cook it on the mixed rice setting.
