  • 1/3 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. honey
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. peanut butter
  • 2 c. rolled oats
  • 1 c. crispy rice cereal
  • 1/2 c. flaked coconut
  • 1/4 c. peanuts

    Heat first five ingredients together in a saucepan, stirring to blend.

    In an 8 x 8-inch square pan, combine oats, rice cereal, coconut and peanuts.

    Pour honey mixture over dry ingredients. Mix until thoroughly coated.

    Pack mixture firmly into pan.

    Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes.

    Cool and cut into 16 bars.
