- 5 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon peppercorn
- 5 garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 lbs chicken breasts, cut into pieces (traditionally whole)
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 bay leaves

2In a large pot, combine the water, vinegar, soy sauce, peppercorns, garlic, bay leafs, and salt.

3Mix together, add chicken pieces and simmer over low heat (uncovered) until chicken is cooked through and tender
