Chicken Casserole

Ingredients

  • 2 chickens
  • 1/2 c. onions
  • 1/2 c. green pepper
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can black pitted olives, chopped
  • cheese
  • 16 oz. pkg. egg noodles, cooked
  • 4 oz. can pimentos
  • bread crumbs
  • 12 oz. frozen peas
  • 4 oz. mushrooms

Directions

    Stew chickens with some onion, celery and salt.

    Saute in butter, onions, green pepper and drained mushrooms.

    In a large pan, put liquid from drained mushrooms and olives; add chicken broth.

    Bring to boil and add noodles, sauteed mixture, olives and frozen peas (thawed).

    Add 1 cup cream of mushroom soup (undiluted) and chicken.

    Put half of this mixture in baking dish. Add layer of cheese, other half of cheese and bread crumbs.

    Bake in 350° oven.
