- 3 lb. fryer, cut in pieces
- 1/3 c. seasoned flour
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) chicken soup
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. grated onion
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. parsley
- dash of pepper
- 1/2 tsp. celery flakes
- 1/8 tsp. thyme
- 1 1/3 c. water
- 1 1/3 c. Minute rice
Directions

1Roll chicken in flour.

2Brown in butter.

3Remove chicken; stir soup, seasonings and water into drippings.

4Cook and stir to a boil.

5Spread Minute rice (right from box) in 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.

6Pour all but 1/3 cup soup mixture over rice. Stir to moisten.

7Top with chicken and rest of soup mixture. Bake, covered, at 375° for 30 minutes or until tender.
