Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken, browned
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. onion
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1/2 tsp. celery flakes
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 1/3 c. rice

    After browning chicken, combine remaining ingredients (except rice) in saucepan.

    Bring to a boil.

    Put rice in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

    Pour all but 1/2 cup sauce over rice.

    Stir.

    Place chicken pieces on top of rice mixture.

    Pour 1/2 cup remaining sauce on chicken pieces.

    Bake at 325° for 1 hour.
