  • 1 small fryer, cooked, removed from bone and cut into bite size pieces
  • 2 1/2 c. plain White Lily flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/3 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. sweet milk

    Mix dough.

    Roll out to about the same thickness as pie crust, prick dough with fork & cut into 2 inch wide strips then break into pieces about 2 inches long.

    Add enough water to broth to make about 2 qts.

    Bring broth to boil, add chicken & dumplings & salt & pepper to taste.

    This makes enough to serve 8-10 people.
