  • 1 whole chicken
  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can milk
  • 1 can mild green chilies
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • large flour tortillas
  • 16 oz. block mild Cheddar cheese, shredded

Directions

    Boil in salt water the chicken; cool and debone.

    Set aside. Heat all chicken soup, milk, green chilies, onion, salt, pepper and garlic powder.

    Set aside.

    Layer in 2-quart casserole dish, lightly greased, large flour tortillas, chicken soup mixture and grated cheese.

    Layer until all ingredients are used up.

    Top with cheese.

    Bake at 250° for 1 hour until cheese is melted and food is heated through.
