  • 6 pieces tenderized round steak
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 stick butter or margarine
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/2-inch oil (in large skillet)

    Beat egg with milk.

    Season flour with salt and pepper.

    Pour oil in skillet and heat to 375°.

    Dredge steak in flour and dip in egg and milk mixture; dredge again in flour.

    Brown meat on both sides.

    Turn heat down and fry again for 5 minutes on each side. Remove from skillet and place on platter.

    Cover with paper towel to keep warm.
