- 2 small stewing chicken
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 3 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 c. okra, sliced and chopped
- 2 c. tomato pulp
- few sprigs parsley, chopped
- 4 c. water
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1After chicken is cleaned and dressed, cut it into serving portions.

2Flour lightly and saute in butter along with chopped onions.

3When chicken is nicely browned, add okra, tomatoes, parsley and water.

4Cook very slowly until chicken is tender and okra well cooked, 2 1/2 hours.

5Add water as required during the slow cooking process.

6Season to taste with salt and pepper.

7If thin soup is preferred, increase the amount of water.
