- 1 (2 to 3 lb.) chicken
- 2 lb. onions, sliced
- 2 cans mushrooms, drained
- 3 Tbsp. garlic salt
- 2 tsp. pepper (sprinkle between layers)
Directions

1Cut up chicken.

2Alternate layers of chicken, onions and mushrooms, finishing with onions on top. Add 1 1/2 cups water. Cover pan and put in a 400° oven for 10 minutes.

3Turn down the heat to 175° and cook for 8 hours without burning it.

4One half hour before serving, put chicken under broiler for 15 minutes to brown top and turn gently under to brown.

5Serve with potatoes or noodles.
