Ingredients
- 2 lb. chicken pieces
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 c. onion, finely chopped
- 2 tsp. garlic, finely chopped
- 1/4 c. cooking oil
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. ginger
- 1/2 tsp. cardamom
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. raisins
Directions

1In a large kettle, saute onion and garlic in oil and butter. Add ginger, cardamom, cinnamon and salt.

2Stir 1 minute.

3Add chicken and brown.

4Stir in sour cream.

5Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes.

6Then cover and cook on low heat for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Add raisins and lemon juice.

7Cook for 10 more minutes.

8Serve over cooked rice.
