Chicken Parmesan

  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 4 chicken breasts (skinless and boneless)
  • 1/2 c. Italian seasoned dry bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 2 c. Prego spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh parsley or 1 tsp. dried parsley flakes
  • 4 c. hot, cooked spaghetti (about 8 oz. dry)

Directions

    Dip chicken in egg; on waxed paper coat chicken with crumbs. In 10-inch skillet over medium heat, in hot margarine, cook chicken 10 minutes or until browned on both sides.

    Remove; set aside.

    In same skillet, heat spaghetti sauce to boiling.

    Add chicken. Reduce heat to low.

    Cover; cook 5 minutes until chicken is no longer pink.

    Sprinkle with cheeses and parsley.

    Cover; cook until cheese is melted.

    Serve with spaghetti.
