Chicken Roll-Ups

Ingredients

  • 3 chicken breasts
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 (3 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 Tbsp. dried minced onion
  • 2 pkg. crescent rolls

Directions

    Boil chicken breasts, cool, skin and debone and cube. Melt together the cream cheese, margarine, onion and mushrooms in saucepan over medium heat.

    Add chicken and refrigerate until cool enough to handle.

    (Margarine will not blend well until cubed chicken is added.)

    Separate crescent rolls, slice them in half and press thinner with hands.

    Stuff about 1 tablespoon chicken mixture on rolls and wrap, sealing edges together.

    Bake in 325° oven about 20 minutes until brown and hot through and through. Serve hot.

    I have also used quail in place of the chicken and it was delicious!

    These can be prepared larger and used as a main dish, also.
