- 1 pkg. boneless chicken breast halves or thighs
- 2 oz. Swiss or Fontina cheese
- 1/4 lb. Wesphalian or Prosciutto ham, thinly sliced
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- fine dry bread crumbs
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Directions

1Pound each chicken piece between two pieces of wax paper or foil to flatten slightly.

2Cut cheese into strips, one per chicken piece. Wrap cheese in ham.

3Place on chicken and roll tightly.

4Secure with toothpicks.

5Combine flour and salt and dip each roll in flour, then in egg, then in bread crumbs.

6Saute in butter until browned on all sides.

7Transfer to baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 20 minutes or until chicken is tender.

8Serves 4.
