Ingredients

  • 5 lbs chicken
  • 3 (28 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 16 ounces frozen cut okra (not breaded)
  • 3 (15 1/4 ounce) cans corn
  • 3 large onions
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 lbs potatoes
  • 12 cup margarine

Directions

    Cook chicken in 3 quarts of water until tender and de-bone the chicken, return it to the broth.

    Add everything except the potatoes and margarine, simmer for 2 hours.

    Peel, dice, cook and mash the potatoes and add the margarine to them.

    Set aside.

    After the 2 hours of simmering, stir in the mashed potatoes and add a little water if needed.

    Cook 15 minutes longer, stirring frequently.

    Serve.
