  • 2 fryer chickens, cut into quarters
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans plums, pitted and drained
  • 2 c. red wine
  • 1/4 c. minced onion
  • 2 Tbsp. white vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 4 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 8 whole cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Directions

    Skin chicken. Coat with flour.

    Brown chicken in a skillet. Place in a baking dish. Combine remaining ingredients.
