Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 to 3 lb. stew meat
  • 2 to 3 cubes (tsp.) bouillon
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 c. diced onion
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 large can stewed tomatoes
  • 2 to 3 large cans Ranch Style beans
  • tortilla chips
  • grated cheese

Directions

    In a heavy pan (I use a Dutch oven) cook the small pieces of stew meat on a low heat, covered, for 30 minutes.

    Uncover and raise heat to brown.

    Remove meat.

    Add 1 cup water and bouillon. Simmer onion and chili powder.

    Add tomatoes and Ranch Style beans. Stir meat back in and simmer 30 minutes or more.

    Serve with tortilla chips.

    Top with grated cheese.
