Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 small pkg. mushrooms
  • 3 cans red beans
  • 1 medium bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 medium can tomato sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • chili powder to taste (I use 1/2 small can)

Directions

    Brown ground beef and set aside.

    In a large skillet, place beans, tomato sauce, chopped tomatoes, mushrooms, salt, pepper and chili powder.

    Now add browned meat and mix well.

    Put on stove on low heat for 1 to 2 hours.

    One-half hour before serving, add onion and bell pepper; cook until slightly soft.

    Ready to eat!
