  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 (1 lb.) can kidney beans
  • 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Over medium heat, cook onion and meat until brown, stirring often.

    Add tomatoes, soup, paprika, cayenne, bay leaf and chili powder.

    Simmer 1 hour, adding water if it gets too thick.

    Stir in salt and kidney beans; do not drain beans.

    Heat thoroughly. Makes about 6 servings.
