- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 2 cans stewed tomatoes
- 1/3 c. bread crumbs
- salt (optional)
- 1/2 can chili powder
- 2 cans dark red kidney beans
Directions

1Brown ground beef on medium heat, drain and add tomatoes with liquid, chili powder and salt.

2Stir well and cook on medium heat until it starts to bubble.

3Then turn heat to low, cover and simmer for 1 hour.

4Then add beans with liquid and bread crumbs; mix well.

5Simmer another 15 minutes.

6Chili should have thickened.

7Serve with crackers or chunks of Cheddar cheese.
