Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 lb. ground turkey
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
- 2 fresh jalapeno peppers, chopped (optional)
- 2 (8 oz. each) cans tomato sauce
- 1 can each: kidney beans and pinto beans, drain and rinse
- 2 to 4 Tbsp. chili powder to taste
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 1 tsp. cumin
- salt to taste
Directions

1In a large pot, heat oil and add onion, garlic and peppers. Saute until onion is tender and add meats.

2Cook through.

3Add tomatoes and tomato sauces and beans.

4Add remaining ingredients and lower heat to simmer for 1 hour.

5Serves 8 to 10.

6Serve over elbow macaroni or noodles.
