- 1 to 1 1/2 lb. lean hamburger
- 1 can tomatoes
- 1 large onion, minced
- 1 medium can dark red kidney beans
- 2 medium green peppers, minced
- 1/2 c. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 can tomato paste
Directions

1Heat crock-pot to 325°.

2Add meat; cook for 10 minutes.

3Add onion, pepper, red pepper, brown sugar, garlic powder, salt and chili powder.

4Cook for another 10 minutes.

5Add kidney beans, tomato paste and tomatoes.

6Turn temperature to low (or simmer) for 2 hours.
