Ingredients

  • 3 lb. ground beef
  • 3 large onions, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 6 to 8 tsp. chili powder
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 to 3 cans chili beans (optional)
  • 2 qt. home canned tomatoes or 4 (1 lb.) cans tomatoes

Directions

    Saute onions, green pepper and garlic in melted butter.

    Add meat and cook until brown.

    Drain off fat.

    Add other ingredients and simmer slowly 3 to 4 hours.
