- 2 lb. ground round
- 4 onions, chopped
- 3 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 can beef consomme
- 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes with liquid
- 2 (1 lb.) cans pinto beans, drained
- 2 cloves garlic or garlic powder
- cayenne pepper to taste
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
Directions

1Brown meat; add onions.

2Cook until soft.

3Add chili powder; let cook 5 minutes, then add all ingredients except vinegar. Simmer 2 to 3 hours.

4Add vinegar about 10 minutes before removing from heat.

5(I prefer to add beans about halfway through cooking.) Serves 6 to 8.
