  • 3 lb. ground chuck or lean hamburger
  • 2 oz. dried onions or 1/2 c. fresh onions, chopped
  • 1 qt. tomato juice
  • 1/2 qt. water
  • 4 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 qt. can kidney beans
  • salt to taste

Directions

    Cook hamburger until done; drain.

    Add onions, chili powder, salt, tomato juice, water and kidney beans.

    Simmer until done. Can use 2 pounds hamburger.

    Makes smaller amount.
