- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 medium can crushed tomatoes
- 1 small can tomato paste
- 2 cans chili beans
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
- 1 tsp. sugar
Directions

1Brown meat in skillet; drain off grease.

2In a 5-quart pan, add meat, onion, salt, pepper, 1 teaspoon chili powder, tomatoes, tomato paste and sugar.

3Simmer 1 hour on low heat, then add mushrooms, chili beans and rest of chili powder.

4Simmer 15 minutes more.
