- 2 lb. ground chuck
- 2 c. onion
- 2 large cans tomatoes
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 3 cans kidney beans, drained (reserve liquid)
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 to 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Brown meat and onions in a large pot.

2Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, liquid from kidney beans and seasonings.

3Simmer, uncovered, 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4Stir in beans and simmer 15 minutes or desired consistency.
