Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground chuck
  • 1/2 cup onions (diced)
  • 1/2 cup green peppers (diced)
  • 1 large can diced tomatoes
  • 1 large can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup cumin
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 package Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 can red kidney beans (with Juice)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 ounces maize flour or 3 ounces all-purpose flour

Directions

    In a large skillet brown ground chuck with onions and peppers; drain.

    Place in a large sauce pan.

    Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, cumin, garlic powder, soup mix, kidney beans and juice, red pepper flakes.

    Simmer 1 hour.

    Make a paste with flour and add to mixture.

    Stir well to thicken.

    If too thick add tomato juice to thin.
