  • 2 lb. Ground chuck
  • 1/2 c. onions, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. seasoned salt
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic salt (or 1 clove garlic)
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans kidney beans or Van Camp's Mexican chili beans
  • 1/4 c. catsup
  • 1 Tbsp. Tabasco sauce
  • 1 tsp. Chili powder
  • 1 (8 oz.) can mushrooms
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, stewed or whole, chopped
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato and herbs sauce

Directions

    Brown meat and onions in olive oil.

    Drain.

    Add butter, salts and garlic.

    Mix thoroughly.

    Add remaining ingredients.

    Simmer for 2 hours, covered,in a large pot or Dutch oven, over low heat.
