- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 1 green pepper, finely chopped
- 1/2 c. finely chopped celery
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
- 1 (1 lb.) can red kidney beans
Directions

1Preheat family skillet or 3-quart saucepan over medium heat for 3 minutes.

2Brown ground beef, about 5 minutes.

3Add onion, green pepper and celery; saute for 3 to 4 minutes.

4Add salt, paprika, chili powder and tomatoes; stir to combine.

5Cover.

6When steam escapes from cover, reduce heat to low.

7Simmer for 1 to 1 1/4 hours.

8Add kidney beans; heat until hot, about 4 minutes. Serve with crackers.

9Makes 4 to 6 servings.
