  • 1/2 lb. dry pinto or kidney beans
  • 2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 lb. coarsely ground chuck, browned and drained
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. ground cumin
  • salt to taste

    Completely soften beans as directed.

    Put all ingredients in crock-pot.

    Stir to combine.

    Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours, on high for 3 to 4 hours.
