  • 10 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 3/4 Tbsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 2 Tbsp. garlic powder
  • 2 c. water
  • 9 oz. frozen chopped onions
  • 12 oz. tomato paste
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans kidney beans or pinto beans, drained

Directions

    Drain meat, removing excess fat.

    Put meat in roaster pan. Add seasonings to taste.

    Cook onions in water; add to pan of meat.

    Add tomato paste.

    Drain beans and add to meat; mix well. Divide chili between two roaster pans.

    Add enough water to make a medium texture of chili.

    Not too thick, not too thin.

    Heat oven to 350° and let simmer until piping hot, about 1 hour.
