Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 pkg. chili powder
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 can tomatoes, cut in pieces
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can chili beans
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 small hot red peppers, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. butter

Directions

    Brown meat; add onion and chili powder.

    Mix well.

    Add tomatoes, soups, water, salt, pepper, oregano, bay leaves, hot peppers and butter.

    Cook on low heat for about 25 minutes.

    Place in warm crock-pot.

    Cook 10 to 12 hours.
