- 2 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder (more to taste)
- 4 c. water
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 Tbsp. ground cumin
- 2 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 6 drops red pepper seasoning
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
- 3 Tbsp. corn meal
Directions

1Brown meat in hot oil; add onion and garlic; saute about 3 minutes.

2Stir in chili powder and cook 1 minute.

3Add water, tomato sauce, cumin, salt, pepper and red pepper seasoning.

4Heat to boiling, then cook over low heat for 2 1/2 hours.

5Then mix together flour and corn meal; stir well into chili.

6Simmer 15 minutes.

7Serves 8.
