Chili Bean Soup

Ingredients
- 2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 c. cooking oil
- 2 (1 lb.) cans tomatoes
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. ground oregano
- 1/2 tsp. cumin seed
- 3 dashes Tabasco
- 1 c. hot water
- 2 (15 oz.) cans pinto beans
Directions

1Cook beef, green pepper, onion and garlic in oil until beef is slightly browned.

2Add all ingredients except beans and simmer, uncovered, 45 minutes.

3Stir in undrained pinto beans.

4Simmer 15 minutes.

5For a thinner mixture, add water.

6Serves 8.
