- 3/4 lb. ground beef
- 3/4 c. onion, chopped
- 1 (15 1/2 oz.) red kidney beans, drained
- 1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1 (7 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 c. elbow macaroni
- 1 (4 oz.) can green chiles, drained
- 2 to 3 tsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/2 c. Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
Directions

1In large skillet brown meat, drain fat.

2Add onion and cook until tender.

3Stir in beans, tomato sauce, undrained tomatoes, uncooked pasta, green chiles, chili powder, garlic salt and 1/4 cup water.

4Bring to a boil, reduce heat.

5Cover, simmer 20 minutes, stirring often.

6Top with cheese, cover until cheese melts.
