Chili Rellenos Bake

- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 (4 oz.) can green chilies
- 1 1/2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- hot pepper sauce
Directions

1In skillet brown ground beef and chopped onion.

2Drain off fat. Sprinkle meat with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and pepper.

3Place 1 can of green chilies, cut in half crosswise and seeded, over meat. Combine beaten eggs, milk, flour, salt, several dashes of bottled hot pepper sauce and dash of pepper.

4Beat until smooth.

5Pour over chili mixture.

6Bake in moderate 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until knife inserted just off center comes out clean.

7Let cool 5 minutes.

8Cut in squares to serve.
