- 8 chicken thighs or legs
- 6 scallions cut in one-inch pieces
- 2 slices ginger root
- 2 big garlic cloves, sliced
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. white wine
Directions

1Heat 2 tablespoons oil and add onion, ginger root and chicken until it is browned.

2Add the rest of the ingredients; hold out the garlic cloves.

3Bring to a boil, then cover and put on low fire for one hour.

4Turn chicken a few times while cooking.

5Add sliced garlic 5 minutes before it's done.

6Good served with rice.
