  • 8 chicken thighs or legs
  • 6 scallions cut in one-inch pieces
  • 2 slices ginger root
  • 2 big garlic cloves, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. white wine

Directions

    Heat 2 tablespoons oil and add onion, ginger root and chicken until it is browned.

    Add the rest of the ingredients; hold out the garlic cloves.

    Bring to a boil, then cover and put on low fire for one hour.

    Turn chicken a few times while cooking.

    Add sliced garlic 5 minutes before it's done.

    Good served with rice.
