  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 teaspoon finely chopped canned chipotle chiles in adobo, plus 1 teaspoon of the sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

Directions

    Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat.

    Cook, stirring often, until the sauce thickens, 2 to 4 minutes.

    Remove from the heat and let cool to room temperature.

    This will keep, tightly covered, in the refrigerator up to 1 week.
