Ingredients

  • 2/3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. margarine or butter, melted
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • powdered sugar

Directions

    Heat oven to 350°.

    Grease and flour bottom only of an 8-inch square pan. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder and salt; blend well.

    Add margarine, vanilla and eggs. Stir just to combine.

    Pour into greased and floured pan. Bake at 350° for 18 to 23 minutes or until set. Do not overbake.

    Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cool completely. Cut into bars.

    Yields 24 bars.
