- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. Nestle semi-sweet mint flavored chocolate morsels
- 2/3 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. corn syrup
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Melt chocolate over hot (not boiling) water.

3Remove from heat.

4Combine shortening, sugar and egg in bowl and beat until creamy.

5Blend in chocolate and corn syrup. Sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt and stir in gradually.

6Shape dough into balls using 1 level tablespoon for each.

7Roll balls in sugar (about 1/4 cup).

8Place 3 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet.

9Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.

10Let stand a few minutes before removing from pan.

11Makes 3 dozen 3-inch cookies.
