  • 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 8 tablespoons corn starch

Directions

    First, melt the chocolate with the butter over a double broiler. Set aside.

    Into a big enough pot, put 3 1/2 cups of milk and sugar. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat. Turn the heat down to low and add the melted chocolate, stir to combine.

    In a small bowl, mix corn starch with 1/2 cup of milk. Stir to combine and add the corn starch slurry into the boiling milk. Stir constantly to prevent clumping. Hand whisk comes very handy!

    When the pudding thickens and it starts to bubble, pour it into 4 serving glass bowls.
