  • 6 cups chocolate bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 34 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream or 1 cup whipping cream
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 23 cup sour cream
  • 1 12 cups vanilla yogurt
  • 1 12 teaspoons orange juice
  • 12 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Directions

    Butter an 8X8X2 glass baking or casserole dish.

    Place bread in dish and drizzle with butter; toss to coat.

    In a small saucepan, heat milk and cream to a simmer; remove from heat.

    Whisk egg yolks and sugar together in a large bowl.

    Slowly whisk in cream mixture.

    Pour this mixture over bread; cover and let stand 1 hour to absorb.

    Preheat oven to 350.

    Bake pudding until just set in center, about 45 minutes.

    In a small bowl, whisk the sour cream and yogurt until smooth.
