  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. flour
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. confectioners sugar

Directions

    Cream butter. Add sugar, salt and vanilla; cream well. Gradually add flour. Shape by teaspoonfuls into balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Press hole in center of each. Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes until delicately browned. Fill while warm. Cool. Frost. Makes about 36 cookies.
