  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. oleo or butter, softened
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg

Directions

    Combine and mix the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder and baking soda. Add milk, oleo and vanilla. Beat on low speed until well mixed, then on medium for 2 minutes. Add egg; beat 2 minutes more. Bake in greased 9 x 1 1/2-inch pan at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
