- 1 12 cups all-purpose flour
- 34 teaspoon baking soda
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup strong coffee
- 6 ounces dark chocolate, finely chopped
- 12 cup vegetable oil
- 12 cup sour cream, room temperature
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 12 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 23 cup heavy whipping cream
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter (cut into 1/2-inch pieces)
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons water
- 18 teaspoon salt
- 10 ounces dark chocolate, finely chopped
- 12 teaspoon vanilla extract

2PREHEAT oven to 325F Grease two 8-inch-round cake pans.

3Line bottoms with wax paper.

4Combine sugar, flour, baking soda and salt in large bowl.

5Bring coffee to simmer in small, heavy-duty saucepan.

6Remove from heat.

7Add chocolate; whisk until chocolate is melted and smooth.

8Cool slightly.

9WHISK vegetable oil, sour cream, eggs and vanilla extract in another large bowl to blend.

10Add chocolate-coffee mixture; whisk to blend well.

11Add one-third of chocolate-sour cream mixture to dry ingredients; whisk to blend well.

12Add remaining chocolate-sour cream mixture in 2 more additions, whisking well after each addition.
