Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb. brown sugar
  • 3/4 lb. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. cream (not too rich)
  • 1/2 cake Baker's chocolate (do not grate; put in whole)
  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. vanilla

Directions

    Put all in saucepan and when it comes to a boil, time it and let it boil just 8 minutes.

    Take from fire; add 1/4 pound of butter and 2 tablespoons vanilla.

    Beat until quite stiff. Pour into buttered tins and cut in squares.
